About the Role
Eduport Academy is looking for dedicated and empathetic Student Mentors – Mathematics to support and guide enrolled students throughout their academic journey. This role is similar to that of a class teacher—without direct teaching.The Student Mentor acts as the primary academic point of contact for Mathematics students, ensuring they remain motivated, disciplined, and actively engaged with their coursework. A key responsibility of this role is to support students in achieving double clearance in Mathematics, ensuring conceptual clarity and consistent performance across assessments. Mentors play a crucial role in student success by closely tracking progress, encouraging consistency, and providing timely academic support when students face challenges in Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary academic mentor for Mathematics students after enrollment
- Ensure students are:
- Attending live Mathematics classes regularly
- Watching recorded Mathematics sessions
- Actively using the Eduport learning app
- Participating in Mathematics tests, exams, and assessments
- Monitor daily progress, attendance, and engagement, with special focus on Mathematics performance
- Guide and motivate students to achieve double clearance in Mathematics through:
- Regular follow-ups
- Performance tracking
- Academic discipline and consistency
- Identify learning gaps in Mathematics and coordinate with academic teams when additional support is required
- Address student queries, concerns, or difficulties related to Mathematics and escalate academic or technical issues when necessary
- Maintain regular communication with students via calls, messages, or online platforms
- Build strong mentor–student relationships to improve retention, confidence, and Mathematics learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and progress trackers related to student performance in Mathematics
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory)
- Female candidates only
- BSc Mathematics or MSc Mathematics (Mandatory)
- Should speak English Fluently
- Minimum 80% aggregate in 12th standard
- Strong communication skills (English and/or Malayalam)
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment
Required Skills & Qualities
- Strong subject understanding in Mathematics
- High level of empathy, patience, and responsibility
- Excellent follow-up and coordination skills
- Ability to motivate and guide students consistently toward academic clearance
- Basic proficiency with digital tools, apps, and online learning platforms
- Organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple Mathematics students simultaneously
